Poughkeepsie man with several warrants arrested

CARMEL – A 41-year-old Poughkeepsie man has been arrested on warrants from Westchester and Orange counties.

Yorktown Police were notified by the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office that they had the defendant in custody. The man, who Yorktown Police did not identify in a news release, was wanted for failing to appear in justice court on previous charges of petit larceny and criminal possession of stolen property.

He was taken into custody by Yorktown Police and determined to have an active warrant in Orange County.

Following arraignment in Yorktown Justice Court, he was turned over to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office in reference to their warrant.
