Victim uncooperative in afternoon stabbing

POUGHKEEPSIE – A 29-year-old man was stabbed on Rose Street Wednesday afternoon and has refused to cooperate with a police investigation.  The incident occurred near Main and Rose Streets around 1:30 p.m.

According to City of Poughkeepsie Police Detective Lieutenant Matt Clark, an officer was flagged down at approximately 1:34 p.m. and was told of a stabbing near the intersection.  The officer located a 29-year-old male with a slash wound to his arm and chest.  The Poughkeepsie resident was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening wounds.

While being questioned about what had happened to him, Clark said the victim stated he did not know what happened and he was not going to cooperate with any investigation into what happened.
