STONE RIDGE – A 45-year-old High Falls woman was killed around 8 a.m. on Wednesday when a utility truck traveling on Route 209 – Main Street – in Stone Ridge crossed lanes and struck her 2016 Ford Fusion head-on.

Police said killed in the crash was Annamarie Reda.

The utility truck, driven by a 52-year-old man, crossed lanes and crashed into the car.

An investigation conducted by the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office and State Police said it appeared that the truck driver suffered a medical event causing the vehicle to steer into the oncoming lane.

The driver and passenger in the truck were transported to Health Alliance Hospital Broadway Campus in Kingston for treatment of minor injuries.

Police said at this time there appears to be no criminality involved in the accident, although the investigation remains open.

Sheriff’s detectives were assisted by the State Police, State Police Reconstruction Unit, Stone Ridge Fire Department and Mobile Life Support Services.
