POUGHKEEPSIE – David Perry, the second convicted killer of Frederick “Joey” Veitch of Shandaken, has lost the appeal of his conviction and sentence.

His co-defendant, Daniel Barlotta, lost his appeal earlier this month.

The two men were convicted of killing Veitch at 48 Marshall Street in the City of Poughkeepsie in November 2017.

Perry was convicted of murder, robbery, and conspiracy by a Dutchess County Court jury.

He was sentenced to 25 years to life in prison.

The Appellate Division of State Supreme Court rejected Perry’s arguments for a lesser sentence.
