Alexander found guilty

POUGHKEEPSIE – Timothy Alexander, 35, was found guilty of murder in Dutchess County Court today.  He had been charged with the 2018 murder of his ex-wife, Terrie DeGelormo.

Alexander was a corrections officer with the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office.  He was charged with the murder after New York State Police were called to a home near All Angels Hill Road in the Town of Wappinger at around 11 p.m. on November 16, 2018, where they found Terrie DeGelormo, then 34, stabbed to death.

The victim had previously worked in a support role at the Dutchess County Jail before leaving to take a position at Dutchess Community College.

Alexander had turned himself into the State Police after being identified as a suspect.
