WOODBURY – The worker killed in the trench collapse on Monday has been identified as 42-year-old David Valenzuela-Pavilla of Spring Valley, according to Woodbury Police.  The name of the victim’s employer has not been released.

Representatives of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) are on the scene investigating the job site that claimed the life of Valenzuela-Pavilla.

The 10-foot-deep trench at the Woodbury Villas development was not stabilized by a shoring box when it collapsed, burying the worker.
