TOWN OF WALLKILL – Wedding receptions and catered events can now resume statewide and that is good news to Villa Venezia in the Town of Wallkill.

That facility hasn’t booked a wedding in a year because of the pandemic and company spokesman Tony Morino said they are excited to resume business.

“Anytime the state loosens up regulations, but at the same time making sure everybody is going to be safe, any guidance they can give us to ensure that we are doing everything possible is always appreciated and at Villa Venezia, we are looking forward to welcoming our brides back,” he said.

Venues are restricted to 50 percent capacity with no more than 150 attendees per event and all attendees must have proof of recent negative test result or proof of immunization prior to the event.

People will be required to sign in to assist in potential contact tracing; venues must notify local health departments of large events, above the social gathering limit, in advance; masks will be required except when seated and eating or drinking.

Ceremonial and socially distanced dancing is allowed in designated areas.
