CATSKILL – A Catskill woman was arrested on Thursday evening for passing a counterfeit $100 bill.
State troopers were called to a local business for a report of a customer passing the phony bill. It was learned that the customer, Sarah Jaghamin, 28, regularly frequented the store.
It was also learned that she had forged a name on a check from a closed account and used that check at a local hotel.
She was charged with felony possession of a forged instrument, forgery, and a misdemeanor of petit larceny.
Jaghamin was arraigned virtually and released on her own recognizance pending a future court appearance.
