MID-HUDSON – Hang onto your snow shovels!

Snow is expected to start tonight and continue through Tuesday morning with the National Weather Service saying we could get anywhere from 11 to 21 inches of the white stuff by the time the storm is over on Tuesday.

The detailed forecast for the region says it will be mostly cloudy today (Sunday) with high near 22. Wind chill values will be between zero and 10 with a northeast wind of three to five mph.

Tonight, snow will begin mainly after 10 p.m. Wind chill values will be between five and 15. The chance of precipitation is 100 percent with snow accumulation of one to three inches possible.

Monday, snow could be heavy at times. High near 24 with a wind chill value of five to 10. Blustery with a northeast wind of 14 to 22 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100 percent with new snow of eight to 10 inches possible.

There will be period of snow Monday night with low around 24 degrees and wind chill values between 10 and 15. It will be blustery with a north wind of 20 to 23 mph. The chance of precipitation is 90 percent with new accumulations of snow four to eight inches possible.

On Tuesday, light snow is expected, mainly before 4 p.m. It will be cloudy with a high near 32 with north wind 11 to 18. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. New snow accumulation of less than one inch is possible.
