ALBANY – There is growing concern that new strains of the coronavirus from the UK, South Africa and Brazil could spark a second wave of the virus in the United States, and Governor Cuomo, Monday, chastised the federal government for “doing nothing” to prevent it.

He is calling on Washington to require travelers flying into the U.S. from those countries to test negative before being allowed in.

He also criticized the federal government for increasing the number of people eligible to be vaccinated without providing the necessary vaccine supply. As it stands now, he said it could take seven months for everyone in the current categories to receive their first of two shots.

The sad news is that deaths and new cases continue. There were 21 new deaths in the Hudson Valley on Sunday and hundreds of new positive cases recorded.
