Driver arrested after car flips over in woods

TOWN OF RAMAPO – A motorist escaped serious injury when the car he was driving early Saturday struck a guide rail, ran off the road and flipped over.

Ramapo Police responded to a report of a car accident in the area of Route 202 and Lime Kiln Road at around 3:51 a.m.

The driver was the sole occupant and was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital by Ramapo Valley Ambulance Corps for minor injuries.

He was placed under arrest for aggravated unlicensed operation and an outstanding warrant from the Village of Spring Valley.

Ramapo Police were assisted at the scene by the Tallman Fire Department.
