MONSEY – The quick actions of a Monsey man saved two young boys from potential danger on Friday afternoon.

It happened on Main Street (Route 306) and Orchard Street in Monsey.

Dashcam video shows the children getting off a school bus in heavy traffic. As they are blocked between the bus and a snowbank, the bus driver pulls away.

The motorist recording the incident, Lipa Rubin, pulled in front of oncoming traffic, ran out of his vehicle and lifted the kids to safety on the sidewalk.

“The bus driver couldn’t want another minute?” Rubin queried Sunday in a phone interview with Mid-Hudson News.

He said he would contact the bus company to lodge a complaint.
