Letter to the Editor: Chamber president endorses Schmitt

Dear Editor:

As a lifelong resident, small business owner, Chamber president, and County Legislator, I want to let you know that I stand fully in support of Assemblyman Colin Schmitt in his re-election campaign.

Since day one of his term, Assemblyman Schmitt has been working directly with me to assist our community and county.

Colin has been available at all times to provide help and guidance on any issue, no matter the size or the scope.

Particularly during this trying time of COVID, Assemblyman Schmitt has led from the front. Providing unlimited PPE supplies, like masks and hand sanitizer to our first responders and local businesses, delivering food to our seniors and food pantries, and assisting to cut red tape to those who are unemployed and to our struggling businesses.

Colin listens to what matters to our residents and he takes decisive action. Colin has fought for additional relief for businesses during COVID, worked with local leaders and parents to combat youth vaping, secured funding for our children to have an inclusive play space, and he continues to fight to preserve our land, our natural resources, and water. Colin is not afraid to stand up and fight against the Albany powers and make sure that our residents’ needs are met and our voices are heard.

We need Assemblyman Schmitt to keep working for us. Please join me in Voting for and Re-electing Assemblyman Colin Schmitt this November.
