MONTICELLO – A 22-year-old man was killed early Sunday when the car in which he was riding struck a tree in the Town of Thompson, State Police said.
The victim, whose name police did not immediately release, was a back-seat passenger in a 2009 Toyota that was traveling on Old Glen Wild Road around 3:38 a.m.
Preliminary investigation found the driver failed to negotiate a curve and struck a tree.
The driver and front seat passenger were transported to Garnet Health Medical Center in the Town of Wallkill for treatment of injuries.
The investigation into the crash is continuing.
