MONTICELLO – A fatal accident on Route 17 near exit 106 near Monticello resulted in the highway being shut down completely Tuesday afternoon.
The accident occurred around 2:30 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of the divided highway.
A medivac helicopter was called in for a second injured person who was being taken to Westchester Medical Center.
