BEACON – A stabbing at Fishkill Correctional Facility is under investigation.
The state Department of Corrections and Community Services stated an incident occurred in which an incarcerated individual sustained injuries requiring a trip to an outside hospital for medical treatment.
Due to the ongoing investigation, the prison system said it could not comment further.
Reports Wednesday night indicated that corrections officers called for medical attention for a person having been stabbed.
This is the latest in a series of incidents at prisons across the state in recent months.
