Ulster Savings names Klassen as VP for commercial lending

KINGSTON – Ulster Savings Bank has announced that John Klassen has joined them as Vice President – Commercial Lending.

Mr. Klassen, a Saugerties resident, will be headquartered at the bank’s 180 Schwenk Drive, Kingston location, and will service the commercial lending needs of customers throughout Ulster, Greene, Columbia, and Northern Dutchess Counties. Before joining Ulster Savings Bank, John served as Chief Financial Officer for New York Drilling Services, Inc. In addition, he has over 20 years of commercial banking experience that includes tailoring solutions for intergenerational family businesses in construction, distribution, and manufacturing.

An active member of his community, John serves as a volunteer for the Columbia Memorial Hospital Foundation. He has also been a past volunteer for the Benedictine Health Foundation. A 1987 graduate of the Virginia Military Institute with a BA in Economics, he served as an officer in the US Army for five years.
