KINGSTON – The City of Kingston Police Department Special Investigations Unit has arrested Melvin Howell, 47, of Stephan Street in Kingston on felony and misdemeanor drug charges.
The SIU began an investigation into narcotics trafficking occurring at 76 Stephan Street resulting in the SIU, Patrol Division, and Emergency Services Unit executing a search warrant at the residence on May 5.
Howell was arrested during the execution of the warrant and charged with two felony counts each of criminal sale and possession of a controlled substance and a misdemeanor of criminal use of drug paraphernalia.
He was processed, arraigned and remanded to Ulster County Jail.
