CORNWALL-ON-HUDSON – Global Security and Investigative Services in Cornwall has stepped forward to cover half of the cost of five new Point Blank bullet-proof vests and bullet-proof vest outer carriers for the Cornwall-on-Hudson Police Department.

The department had received a grant of $1,775 from the Public Employee Risk Management Association to fund half of the costs and Dean Golemis, owner of Global Security has offered to pay the other half, said Police Chief Steven Dixon.

The department is “a very small police agency in Orange County and it means a great deal to my officers and I that we received such a generous donation,” the chief said.

Prior to owning Global Security, Golemis was a Rockland County Sheriff’s deputy where he finished his 20-year career as an investigator with the Bureau of Criminal Investigations.
