GOSHEN – A giant sign now greets first responders as they enter the Orange County Sheriff’s Office/Emergency Services complex in the Town of Goshen.

The message, “Heroes Work Here,” was constructed and installed by the Bruderhof Community led by Ben Barth.

“The members of the Bruderhof Community always step up in times of crisis and have really outdone themselves here,” said Brendan Casey, County Commissioner of Emergency Services. “We are glad to have such wonderful friends who recognize the importance of our essential workers.”

District Attorney David Hoovler said the Bruderhof Community “is part of the fabric of Orange County and their contribution to our communities are far and wide. Without fanfare, they simply make our county a better place to live. The sign honoring county employees and emergency service workers is just one example of their outstanding contributions.”

Sheriff Carl DuBois said the sign is a “colorful recognition to all of the women and men who have sacrificed so much to continue to provide vital services for the residents of Orange County during this unprecedented global pandemic.”
