Body recovered from Wallkill River

TOWN OF WALLKILL – Authorities have recovered a body from the Wallkill River at Midway Road and East Main Street in the Town of Wallkill.

The body was discovered by a fisherman at around 2:50 p.m. on Wednesday, State Police spokesman Trooper Steven Nevel said.

The initial probe revealed no foul play involved in the death, he said.

The investigation is continuing.
