SCARSDALE – The Scarsdale School District is closed from today (Monday, March 9) through Wednesday, March 18 after a faculty member at the middle school tested positive for COVID-19.

The closure affects all school activities, meetings and events, including sports and parent-teacher conferences.

Officials said the impacted facility member is exhibiting mild illness. The district’s response is designed to demonstrate vigilance and recognition of individuals who may be immuno-compromised.

The department of health indicates the individuals of primary concern would be those who experienced direct, close contact with the affected teacher.

While the schools are closed, they will be thoroughly disinfected.
