Orange Bank & Trust promotes three

MIDDLETOWN – The Board of Directors and CEO Michael Gilfeather of Orange Bank & Trust Company have announced the recent promotion of three key employees: Pamela Jones to Senior Vice President, Director of Human Resources; Michael Listner to Senior Vice President, Chief Credit Officer, and Gregory Sousa, to Chief Commercial Banking Officer. 

Pamela Jones joined the bank in 1991 as a Human Resources supervisor. At that time, the bank had three branches in Middletown. As the bank grew so did Pam’s responsibilities. Jones was promoted to Assistant Vice President followed by a promotion to Vice President and in 2017, 1st Vice President. The new Senior VP is responsible for the management of strategic staffing plans, compensation, benefits, training and development, budget, and employee relations across the bank’s 13 branches and the Bank’s affiliate, Hudson Valley Investment Advisors. Jones has a Master of Business Administration in finance and a bachelor’s degree in human resources from Marist College.

She has long been a key member of our leadership team and we look forward to the additional positive impact she will contribute to the success of the bank and its employees in this new role,” said Michael Gilfeather, President and Chief Executive Officer. 

Michael Listner joined the bank in 2018 as 1st Vice President and Senior Credit Officer responsible for all functions of credit administration including managing and directing the bank’s loan portfolio and supervision of all credit-related aspects of the bank. He joined the bank most recently from Sun National Bank as Senior Vice President. In addition, he has many years of experience in credit ratings and structured finance with Standard & Poor’s.  Listner has a Master of Business Administration from NYU Stern School of Business and a BS in Finance and Economics from Villanova University.

“Michael has had a significant impact on developing the bank’s credit culture.” said Gilfeather. “His deep experience in credit analysis continues to help the bank execute its strategy of working with regional businesses to accommodate their credit needs.” 

Greg Sousa joined Orange Bank & Trust in 2015 as Vice President and Senior Relationship Manager. In 2017, he was promoted to 1st Vice President and Senior Vice President shortly after. Prior to joining the bank, he worked at Hudson Valley Bank where he served as Senior Vice President and Branch Administrator responsible for branch business development and oversight of the branch network. Sousa was recognized as one of Rockland County’s “Forty Under 40”, is a graduate of Leadership Rockland, and received his bachelor’s degree from SUNY Binghamton. Additionally, Sousa completed studies at the American Bankers Association Wharton/Stonier Graduate School of Banking in 2015.

 “Greg is a highly respected member of our executive team and a valued leader for our colleagues,” said Gilfeather. “Greg’s significant leadership, loan & deposit production, and senior management administrative roles over the past few years contributed to this new promotion. In addition to business production, branch sales in Orange and Rockland counties and Cash Management, Greg will now oversee the Marketing and Product Development for the Bank.”
