POUGHKEEPSIE – A Poughkeepsie man has been arrested by Poughkeepsie Town Police following two separate investigations into burglary and grand larceny incidents.

William Pascal, 45, is charged with five counts of burglary for entering and stealing property from a storage unit rented by a person on several dates between December 2019 and January 2020.

He is also charged with grand larceny and identity theft stemming from an incident on January 22 where a different victim had their debit card stolen, which was then used to withdraw money from the victim’s account.

Pascal, who was taken into custody by town police on February 27, was also wanted by the US Marshals Service on an outstanding warrant from US Probation.

A search also led to the discovery of a quantity of cocaine in his possession and he was also charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance.

He was arraigned and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail without bail.
