MONTICELLO – The Town of Thompson Democratic Committee has endorsed Heather Berg of Monticello for Thompson receiver of taxes.
She was appointed to the position by the Thompson Town Board on January 7 to replace Doreen Huebner, who is now Sullivan County deputy county clerk.
Berg will be on the November ballot to fill the remaining three years of Huebner’s four-year term.
Berg is a former treasurer of the Village of Monticello and a compliance officer for the Recovery Center in Monticello and was the accounting supervisor for the SYDA Foundation in Fallsburg.
