POUGHKEEPSIE – Starting Saturday, February 1, the city Parking Department will start enforcing residential permit parking utilizing the 2020 parking permits instead of the 2019 permits.

The city allows for a grace period in January so that residents can get their new permits. Residents needing to renew their permits need to go to the Parking Department at City Hall between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Those needing permits need to bring their ID/Driver’s License with current address.  If the address doesn’t match residence permit-seekers will need to bring a copy of their most recent lease agreement and the vehicle’s registration.

There is no cost for the permit, but there is a limit to two on-street permits or one residential parking lot permit per household. For additional information call the Parking Department at 451- 4120.
