CAMPBELL HALL – Deborah Garry, Founder and President of BBG&G Advertising, has been named one of the 2020 recipients of The Enterprising Women of the Year award. She is the only award-winner from the Hudson Valley, and one of only 11 representing New York State, out of the 2020 recipients.

The Enterprising Women of the Year Awards, hosted by Enterprising Women magazine, is an annual tribute that honors the world’s top women entrepreneurs. It’s considered one of the most prestigious awards amongst women business owners, and internationally recognized. To win, nominees must demonstrate that they have fast-growth businesses, mentor or actively support other women and girls in entrepreneurship, and stand out as a winner in their communities.

“This award is a special honor for me because it recognizes the strong connections that BBG&G has in our community,” said Garry. “The company has been steadily growing for 23 years, but we’ve always made a concerted effort to give back.”

Garry’s past community involvement includes Chair of the Marketing Committee for the Women’s Leadership Fund, Board Member for the Academy of Finance, Middletown schools, and Marketing Committee member for the Hudson Valley Boy Scouts Council. She currently serves on the Orange County Citizen’s Foundation Placemaking Committee, the Hudson Valley Pattern for Progress Board and Strategic Planning Committee, and the Marketing and Nominating Committees for Leadership Orange, as well as serving as a member of Leadership Orange’s Board. She is a past recipient of the Hudson Valley Women in Business award. Collectively, BBG&G participates in year-round community service programs, such as Alex’s Lemonade Stand, the BBG&G Heroes Bike Run, and the American Heart Association’s Tri-County Cycle Nation.

Garry will attend the awards ceremony in Clearwater Beach, Florida in late March to receive her recognition. A Hudson Valley resident since 1984, Garry teamed up to launch BBG&G Advertising with June (Bisel) Musollino and Gene Bove in 1997.

In its early years, the agency offered traditional print, radio, and TV advertising services. Additional services and team members have been added over the years, and now the company specializes in digital programmatic advertising, web sites, marketing automation, ADA compliance, and international marketing.

BBG&G has also received numerous awards for client work. Most recently, the agency received the AVA Digital Awards in Platinum and Gold for their clients, the Destination Marketing Corporation for Otsego County and Millbrook Vineyards & Winery.
