MONTICELLO – Newly retired Sullivan County Court Judge Frank LaBuda may not be staying staying retired for long.

The former judge, who had to retire because of a state age limit, previously served as a chief assistant district attorney.

Now, he told Mid-Hudson News he is exploring his options, which could include running for district attorney.

“I am considering all options. I know a lot of people have been speaking to me about the need for effective prosecution in our county and I am considering all options,” he said.

The only person to declare candidacy for the fall election is acting District Attorney Meagan Galligan.
