Sullivan County Real Health Network launches new website

Liberty, NY – The Sullivan County Rural Health Network, a partnership between many area organizations who collaborate to address the health needs of the entire County, proudly announces the debut of its new website,

“This site has been many months in the making, as it combines eye-catching design and photographs with details about why this Network exists and what it does,” explains Public Health Director Nancy McGraw.

Sullivan County Public Health Services is the lead organization for the Sullivan County Rural Health Network, which is funded by a grant from the New York State Department of Health’s Charles D. Cook Office of Rural Health.

The purpose of the Rural Health Network is to coordinate health and human services with community partners, to work together to leverage limited resources, and to ensure an effective and efficient service delivery system to improve health outcomes in Sullivan County.

Under the guidance of a 13-member board and an 8-member advisory group, the Rural Health Network has developed the following objectives for 2020:

  • Improve health disparities for all underrepresented communities
  • Reduce maternal opioid and substance use
  • Increase access to dental services for all residents

Several committees of the Network meet monthly to discuss and develop strategies to collectively address the above issues, including the Drug Prevention/Opioid Prevention Task Force, the Oral Health Committee, and the Health Equity/Common Ground Committee.
