TOWN OF WALLKILL – A 13-year-old Canton, Ohio youth has been arrested and charged with telecommunications harassment following threats made to children at the Monhagen Middle School on County Route 78 in the Town of Wallkill.
The online threat was directed at the school’s students and resulted in a lockdown of the school at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, December 9, 2019.
An investigation led to the Ohio teen.
The case is being prosecuted by the Stark County Prosecutor’s Office in the county family court in Stark County, Ohio.
Wallkill Police were assisted by the Stark County Sheriff’s Office, Orange County District Attorney’s and County Attorney’s offices and the Stark County, Ohio Prosecutor’s Office.
