GOSHEN – Court Attorney Hyun Chin Kim officially kicked off her campaign for Orange County Court judge on Thursday night.
Kim, a Republican, told an overflow crowd in Goshen that she thought long and hard about running. “I know on a very personal level how important and vital this role is in the justice system,” she said. “Judges in our society are the arbiters of law. Their job is to interpret and apply the law in a fair and just manner to both the victims and the accused to insure and safeguard the rights of all.”
Prior to holding her current post, Kim was the chief assistant county attorney in the Orange County Attorney’s Office.
