TOWN OF WALLKILL – Monhagen Middletown School on Route 78 in the Town of Wallkill was locked down at noon on Monday following a threat that was received on social media, Police Chief Robert Hertman said.
There was no threat to the students, who remained in the building and were released at their regular time, he said.
Town of Wallkill Police and Middletown school district officials are investigating the incident in which someone threatened to “shoot down the school.”
