Breaking news… Gunfire in Newburgh

NEWBURGH – As the Newburgh City Council was meeting at the Rec Center as dozens of residents pleaded that members don’t approve a budget with police and firefighter layoffs, gunfire rang out at Lander and South streets.

Speaker after implored the council not to cut positions saying that will make the streets less safe.

During those discussions, city police were out in the dark searching for evidences in the latest violence.
