Religious man stabbed on way to Monsey yeshiva

MONSEY – The Anti-Defamation League has offered a $10,000 reward leading to the arrest and conviction of those who repeatedly stabbed an orthodox Jewish man walking to  yeshiva school.

The man was walking along Howard Drive at 5:49 a.m. on Wednesday was found alongside the road with multiple stab and slash wounds.

The victim, whose name was not released by Ramapo Police, was found along Howard Drive in Monsey.

The 30-year-old victim was taken to Westchester Medical Center by Hatzolah Ambulance and was undergoing surgery.

Ramapo Police are being assisted by the Rockland County Sheriffs BCI unit and Chaverim of Rockland County.

There are no descriptions of a suspect or suspects or a vehicle if any at this time.

Senator David Carlucci condemned the attack. “This act of violence is horrific and not reflective of our peaceful community. Violence or hate of any kind is never tolerated. I pray for the victim’s recovery and expect police will find the suspects and bring them to justice. I am awaiting more details on this incident.”
