WHITE PLAINS – A Westchester County grand jury has indicted a Greenburgh man on charges stemming from a sexual attack of a woman in White Plains in October.
The indictment alleges that on October 10, Sidney Crockett, 52, repeatedly strangled, physically and sexually assaulted the victim in a residence. The two were known to each other and had been in a relationship.
After the attack, the woman went to a hospital, police were notified and an investigation was begun.
Crockett has been indicted on two counts of first-degree rape, six counts of criminal sexual act, two counts of strangulation, two counts of sexual abuse, one county of assault and one count of criminal obstruction of breathing.
