Bloomingburg man arrested in Wallkill on armed robbery charge

TOWN OF WALLKILL – A Bloomingburg man was arrested by Wallkill Town Police and charged with felony armed robbery, criminal possession of a weapon and petit larceny following an incident last Friday.

Police say that about 4:15 a.m. on October 18, Travis Neal, 39, of Bloomingburg, was in the area of 249 Route 211 and Certified Drive when he got out of a vehicle, pulled what appeared to be a handgun and demanded property from a victim.

Police developed a lead to identify the vehicle and subsequent surveillance resulted in the apprehension and arrest of Neal on charges of criminal possession of stolen property, speeding and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

Further investigation resulted in Neal being charged with the robbery. He was sent to the Orange County Jail in lieu of $3,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond.
