TOWN OF MONTGOMERY – A school bus getting on Interstate 84 at the Maybrook exit hit a tree causing injury the driver, but not harming any of the 25 students onboard, initial reports from first responders indicate.
The bus was from the Warwick Valley Central School District, carrying members of the girls varsity tennis team, authorities said.
The accident at the exit 5 westbound onramp of I-84 in the Town of Montgomery occurred around 8 p.m. Friday.
Initial reports from emergency responders said the driver was unconscious.
State and local police, as well as area fire department and ambulance services were on the scene.
