STEWART AIRPORT – Beautiful weather with mostly clear blue skies greeting the first day of the New York International Air Show at New York Stewart International Airport near Newburgh on Saturday.

Thousands purchased tickets to see the static displays of airplanes and watch the aerial maneuvers from inside the airport while thousands of other parked their cars in nearby parking lots to watch the action in the skies as the US Navy Blue Angels, the Air Force F-35 Lightning Demo Team and the Royal Air Force Red Arrows from England flew in formations. The Red Arrows thanked the US for its hospitality with red, white and blue trails.

The annual air show continues tomorrow with another aerial show and ground displays along the flight line.
