NEW CITY – Congresswoman Nita Lowey (D, NY-17) has re-introduced legislation to designate the Department of Veterans Affairs community clinic in New City as the “Jerry Donnellan VA Community Clinic.”
Donnellan, a Vietnam veteran and long-time advocate for veterans in Rockland County, died in March 2018 at age 71.
“Earning three Purple Hearts for his service in Vietnam was simply the beginning of Jerry Donnellan’s long history of unparalleled dedication to Rockland County and the safety and security of our country,” said Lowey. “He dedicated his life to his community and was, without a doubt, one of Rockland County’s most ardent supporters of veterans and families.”
