WHITE PLAINS – A Yonkers youth was arraigned in Westchester County Court on Wednesday in the fatal shooting of a teenager on a Yonkers street on April 25.
Jamir Thompson, 15, is being tried as a juvenile offender. He has been indicted on charges of murder, attempted murder, criminal possession of a weapon and grand larceny.
On April 25 at about 6:30 p.m., the indictment alleges Thompson fired a fatal shot that killed Marilyn Cotto Montanez, 18, as she walked down Morningside Avenue with her nine-year-old sister.
Thompson fled the but surrendered to Yonkers Police on May 7, 12 days later.
