TOWN OF GOSHEN – Construction of the Legoland amusement park in the Town of Goshen took its first concrete step forward on Wednesday as the foundation for the first building was poured.

The project is targeted for a spring 2020 opening.

“Our construction team has been working hard to get our site to this point, but a tremendous amount of work is also going on behind the scenes,” said spokesman Matthew Besterman. “Our rides and attractions are being built off-site for installation here in Goshen and our master model builders all over the world are assembling more than 15,000 Lego models.”

The newly poured foundation is for the Big Shop, the amusement park’s signature retail shop.
