Dutchess County distributes agency partner grants

POUGHKEEPSIE – Six local community organizations have received a total of $200,000 from Dutchess County’s Agency Partner Grant program for infrastructure improvements ranging from technology upgrades to security enhancements.

“This additional infrastructure funding will enhance security for some of our county’s most vulnerable residents, assist several organizations best serve residents, and better assist the homeless and victims of domestic violence,” said County Executive Marcus Molinaro.

  • The Art Effect will receive $18,000 for technology upgrades, including computers, upgrades to the agency’s online registration platform, and training of the database management system to help optimize administration, fundraising, and reporting practices.
  • Family Services, Inc. will receive $109,200 for security services upgrades to promote the safety and security of the people who utilize the health and human service, education programs, prevention programs, and more housed at the Family Partnership Center.
  • Grace Smith House will receive $31,520 security cameras and other safety upgrades at various facilities to enhance safety for victims of domestic violence and staff.
  • Hudson River Housing will receive $30,660 for a 15-passenger van used to transport guests to the shelter, as well as an energy efficient commercial washer and lockers to secure shelter guest’s possessions.
  • NAMI Mid-Hudson will receive $7,900 to support the agency’s technology needs, including new computer tools, to enhance the agency’s mission and ability to provide education, support and resources to those living with mental health conditions.
  • Poughkeepsie Farm Project will receive $2,720 for hardware and software technology upgrades to enable staff to efficiently meet operational and programmatic needs.
