WHITE PLAINS – An Uber driver from the Bronx is charged with the sexual assault of a passenger while riding driving in Westchester County last June.
On June 8 at about 2 a.m., the victim requested an Uber ride from New York City to her home. She fell asleep in the back seat and shortly thereafter, the car stopped and when she awoke, she found the driver, Iqbal Hussain, in the back seat groping her under her dress.
A brief struggle ensued, the man returned to the driver’s seat and drove the woman home where she reported it to police.
Hussain was indicted on charges of sexual assault and assault, both as felonies and unlawful imprisonment as a misdemeanor.
