NEWBURGH – Four men were arrested on Saturday after the car they were in was stopped on Broadway in the City of Newburgh for vehicle and traffic violations.
A search of the vehicle revealed a loaded .22 caliber semi-automatic pistol and a quantity of marijuana.
Arrested were the driver, Juan Murillo, 28, of Newburgh, and passengers Abimael Pineiro-Ruiz, 26, of Newburgh, Dimas Guevara-Ramos, 19, of New Windsor, and Maycoll Garcia-Pineda, 19, of Newburgh.
`They were all charged with felony and misdemeanor criminal possession of a controlled, substance and criminal possession of a weapon as a felony. Murillo was also charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and unlawful possession of marijuana.
All four were sent to the Orange County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or bond.
