Plane heading to Dutchess County makes emergency landing in NJ

PARAMUS, NJ – A single-engine plane that took off from Lincoln Park Airport in Morris County, New Jersey, just after 12 noon on Sunday made an emergency landing at the Paramus Golf Course.
The Mooney M20 aircraft with four people aboard was en route to Hudson Valley Airport, former called Dutchess County Airport, in the Town of Wappinger. The pilot had reported engine trouble with power failure prior to landing on the golf course, Paramus Police reported.
Authorities said one adult was uninjured and two other adults and a child sustained minor injuries.  They were all transported to an area hospital.
The names of those onboard were not immediately available.  The aircraft, manufactured in 1984, is registered to DeLeon Jones of Galveston, Texas, according to Federal Aviation Administration records.
The FAA is investigating.
