POUGHKEEPSIE – Police in
the Town of Poughkeepsie are investigating the armed robbery of the Mobil
gas station at 3480 North Road early Saturday.
Initial reports indicate a woman was stabbed by the suspect during the
robbery. She was taken to MidHudson Regional Hospital for treatment of
her wound.
The suspect was described as being a black man, about five feet, six inches
tall, wearing dark sweatpants and a gray sweatshirt.
He fled on foot northbound on Route 9.
A police K-9 unit and detectives were called to the scene.
