KINGSTON – A Saugerties man pled guilty in Ulster County Court
on Friday to a charge of criminal possession of a weapon stemming from
an investigation into an Internet posting referring to the Columbine School
shooting.

Connor Chargois was arrested by Saugerties Police in February following
information they received that he had posted comments on the Internet
relating to “Eric and Dylan,” those responsible for the Columbine
killings.

Chargois was a student at Saugerties High School at the time.

In the ensuing investigation, police seized from Chargois a quantity of
ammunition of different calibers, homemade knives, machine fabricated
gun parts, a prototype of a firearm that Chargois admitted he had been
manufacturing in his basement, as well as a number of completed homemade
firearms in both .22 and 9mm caliber capacities.

He is scheduled to be sentenced in February.
