WHITE PLAINS – A former Yonkers man was arraigned in Westchester County Court on a sealed indictment in the shooting death of a man in Yonkers in April 2016.
Anthony Burton, 38, also known as David Burton, also known as “Faseoff,” was remanded to the county jail.
A grand jury had earlier handed up a three-count indictment charging Burton with murder and two counts of criminal possession of a weapon.
Following an investigation by Yonkers Police, Westchester County Police Warrant Squad picked up Burton in Florida and returned him to Westchester on Wednesday. He was located at the Queen Mary Inn in Pensacola where he was arrested on local charges including contributing to the delinquency of a minor, resisting arrest, false personation and possession of a controlled substance.
Prosecutors allege that just after midnight on April 30, 2016, in Yonkers, Burton pulled a gun and fired three shots at the victim, striking him in the stomach, back and hip.
The victim was hospitalized for over a month before he died.
