POUGHKEEPSIE – State Police with the assistance of the City of Poughkeepsie Police Department arrested two suspects on a long list of drug charges.  The incident happened on November 18 but was not reported by state police until Thursday. 
Late last Sunday night, police tried to stop a car on the Taconic. The driver did not comply.  The car finally hit a retaining wall and street lamp on North Hamilton Street.
The driver, Michael Canales, 33, of Brooklyn, was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, aggravated unlicensed operation, both felonies, and several misdemeanors, including resisting arrest. Jasmine Centeno, 27, of Hoboken, NJ, was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and conspiracy, both felonies.
 Further investigation found Canales was in possession of approximately 134 grams of heroin, and approximately 5.6 grams of cocaine hidden on Centeno’s person.

Canales was sent to Dutchess County Jail without bail. Centeno is held in lieu of $25,000 cash bail or $50,000 bond.
