Police at the scene of this morning’s Nanuet bank robbery
NANUET – Clarkstown Police are looking for a suspect who robbed
the Chase Bank branch at 61 Smith Street in Nanuet this morning.

Police said at around 8:45 a black man wearing a leather jacket, light
blue jeans and a black winter hat handed a teller a note demanding money.
The teller complied and handed over an unknown amount of cash before the
suspect fled in an unknown direction.
There is no increased safety threat to the community, police said.
Anyone who may recognize the suspect or was in the area of the bank at
8:45 a.m. is asked to call Clarkstown Police at 845-639-5800 or send an
